The Department of Pharmacology provides comprehensive teaching in Pharmacology & Therapeutics to 3rd year MBBS students. The department focuses on understanding of the Basic principles of Pharmacology, emphasizing Pharmacokinetics that includes absorption, distribution, metabolism & excretion of Drugs, and Pharmacodynamics that includes Mechanisms of action and Effects of Drugs. Students are also introduced to the Clinical applications of Pharmacology, including Rational use of drug, Adverse drug reactions, and Drug interactions.
